I have purchased an ASUS A7S266-VM/U2/LAN-UAYZ motherboard for my AMD ATHLON XP-2000+
processor. Unfortunately REDHAT LINUX-7 or REDHAT LINUX-8 does not have drivers for
that motherboards display, sound and ethernet card .
The mother board has the following chipsets
Northbridge: SiS 740
Southbridge: SiS 962L
VGA : INTEGRATED 4XAGP GRAPHICS
LAN : SiS 962L INTEGRATED 10/100 MBPS FAST ETHERNET
WITH REALTEK EXTERNAL PHY
AUDIO : C-MEDIA 4 CHANNEL CODEC WITH AC' 97 COMPLIANCE and
S/PDIF OUT INTERFACE
Kindly suggest me an alternative lowcost motherboard for AMD ATHLON XP-2000+
processor for which the display, sound and ethernet card drivers are available in
REDHAT LINUX-7 or REDHAT LINUX-8 so that i may change the motherboard from my
vendor.The model must be available in Calcutta , India .Suggestions for lowcost
outboard AGP , ETHERNET
and sound cards for which the drivers are available in REDHAT LINUX-7 or REDHAT
LINUX-8 or any other solution are also very much welcome .Please notice that I am a
novice in linux and need detailed explanation of any advanced solution. Please reply
with in today since the vendor will not change the board after 11th septembor
