I had always wanted a newsserver for reading the ilugd mails for sometime. I belive some other people had expressed interest sometime back. I just had a talk with Suresh Ramasubramanian about this, and he suggested that it could be hosted on gmane.org if the group reaches a consensus on it.
game offers trivial email encryption (some what like the way my email address is written in my sig). Teh only reason many folks have objecttions to such an idea is email harvesting.
How about a vote on this matter folks? Take a look at gmane.org (nntp://news.gmane.org) and the huge number of mailing lists that it already stores.
