Hi friends
I have a remote server where Postfix is configured with virtual domain
setting and it is running sommothly. Now I want to remove some users
from a particular virtual domain. I did the process..
userdel <user_name> (i.e. deleing the user's entry from /etc/passwd
file)
remove the user's entry from /etc/postfix/virtual file
rebuild the db by postmap /etc/postfix/virtual
refresh the postfix by postfix reload
But the intersting point is, when I'm sending mail to one of that
deleted user from some other mailserver, the mail is delivered and there
is no bounced back mail ( which is supposed to) and more intersting that
the mail is some how lost in the postfix server (means there is no track
of that delivered mail - /var/log/maillog or
/var/spool/mail/usernamefile or /home/username/mail no where..)
strange....??
Any idea, where I did mistake??
ciao
keshab
