Yeah, I too have been giving blood on and off for the past 25 years
and I know how useful it is. Insh'llah you will never need it, but as
a donor you're entitled to as much blood as you need, no questions
asked, and up to the amount you have donated if someone near/dear to
you needs any.
BTW, there's a minuscule chance that some press people will turn up,
so wear a Linux t-shirt if you have it and won't freeze.
