HI,
Installing linux on the already having dual boot configuration between 98 and xp
requires a lil trick...
1. get an emply partition or make one by deleting one by using Ranish partition
manager(www.ranish.com/part/) so that u can install linux on it .
2. Using Ranish partition manager u can install boot manager and choose option to
prompt u the choice of partition yto boot from.
3. Now start installing Linux, and use the free space on the hdd.
4. But when Linux installer ask for the MBR configuration 'Choose Boot from the first
sector of the install partition instead of 'Modify MBR'
5. while rebooting after completion of installation u will get choise of Partition to
boot from. One to boot Xp/98 and other for linux depending upong the number of
partitions u have.
Thanks and regrads,
Adarsh
