go to the linux-delhi.org website, to the downloads area, and download a
pdf file called 'seven steps to software samadhi' which is on migrating
as a complete novice from windoze to gnulinux.

all the steps, pointers, guidelines, further references, can be found in
this 5-page easy-to-read document.
gets you kick-started real *fast* with gnulinux from ground zero.

well, hope this internal modem is not a 'winmodem' i.e. that which only
works with stuff inside the windoze os, as in, tied-in to specifically
work with only M$ windoze.

if it is, you will further have to google to find out how to get it to
work under gnulinux. a few years ago it was a problem, but it got
resolved. other, normal modems work splendidly and transparantly under
gnulinux.
