dear all,

have just designed a simple, elegant, stunning, tongue-in-beak, LOGO for
Linux-Delhi.

It is a simple shape, in two colors, which meets all the rules i laid
out for logo design in an earlier email.

more importantly, the logo is for linux-DELHI, and can be used in
conjunction with the linux mascot tux the penguin, and with the FSF
mascot the gnuhead (gnu.org).

exactly like the air india LOGO is used with the maharaja mascot.
or the amul logo and logotype used with the amul boy and amul girl
mascots.

The explanation of the logo design is given in the file.

The file is called LinuxDelhiLogos.tar and is available at
linux-delhi.org in the downloads area (list is alphabetical).

tar -xvf the file.

you will find three files. one is a PNG of the logo+logotype. The other
is a PNG of the logo+logotype+text explaining the design concept.
the third is a SVG file (scalable vector graphic).

okay, for your info, the graphic design has been created using GPL
software. Sodipodi is the vector-illustration software (sodipodi.org)
used here under RedHat 8.

the graphic design and these source files are copyrighted and published
under the Free Documentation License, or FDL. (gnu.org)

enjoy.

:-)
LL
