Dear All, Finally the "Quick and Dirty Guide" to obtaining T-Shirts for Linux Delhi. 1. Cost of getting T-Shirts printed will be less than Rs. 125 per T-Shirt under all circumstances. 2. We need to buy atleast a 100 T-Shirts from the vendor. 3. Vendor wants 50% payment in advance and 50% on delivery. 4. Those who need to pay by cheque(as in the case of Sudev) should make it the name of the vendor "Lords Wear" payable at Delhi and must pay in advance. 5. People who can't make it to 21st Dec. ILUGD Delhi meet should make sure your Cheque(payable at Delhi)/DD/MO/Cash (Cash is preferred under all circumstances) reaches me with courier expenses added by 22nd December, 2003(mail me off-list for coordinating that) 6. Sizes(L, XL, XXL, XXXL) and Colors of the T-Shirts will be known once I go to the vendor's office in Lajpat Nagar on Saturday or Monday and can be made known to me before I place the final order.
Proposed Course of Action:- 1. Individuals/Organizations should stock the T-shirts to be sold later at ILUGD meets(sold/distributed for free or otherwise) should need to pay Rs. 125/- per T-Shirt(in advance) for buying atleast 10 T-Shirts. 2. Individuals/Organizations buying less than 5 T-Shirts paying (in advance) need to pay Rs. 130/- on or before 21st December. 3. People who are unable to pay in advance will need to get/buy T-Shirt from the stockists (who may have exhausted the stock before you wake up or who may then fleece you dry with demands like 'half your kingdom and your daughter's hand in marriage') Unless we there is an off-take of atleast a 100 T-Shirts in advance we are not getting them printed in which case I shall return all the monies and cheques in the next meet. Any incidental profit/surplus from the T-Shirt(s) would be contributed to Linux Delhi kitty. The Linux Delhi funds(whatever we have) are not being used for funding the T-Shirts in any way(including temporary credit) it is entirely a member funded initiative.
