Hi Folks,
I configured NFS a few days back, and after giving #tcpdump
command, I was shown that the Ethernet is running in promiscuous mode
and a huge amount of packets were coming in and out of the poor box!!!
Can anyone throw some light on it...?
What exactly is promiscuous mode?
I would appreciate it deep from my heart if someone explains it
deeply...
