http://www.justlinux.com/nhf/Programming/Introduction_to_bash_Shell_Scripting.html this is a basic intro which i found useful...you can also search on google..there are tons of good tutorials to learn bash scripting...however i would suggest that you rather tried out perl programming since that is more effective..for complex stuff.
