-------- Original Message -------- Subject: ILUG-D: 802.11x networks in India, Unlicensed? From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Message from Mark O'Sullivan:
Dear LugD,
I'm currently working on some Open Source advocacy projects in Tilonia, Rajasthan at the Barefoot College ( http://www.barefootcollege.org/ ). I've been suggesting that a Wi-Fi network would be very advantageous to the work that they do here, both locally on the campus and with the potential to carry network facilites to a wide area.
I know that in the EU the 802.11x signal is in the unlicensed spectrum. Is this so in India also, or do you require a license to set one up here?
Also, do you know of any instlled networks of this type in India?
thanks,
Mark O'Sullivan
