Helloaa, who are u to end this thread. My question is
still unanswered. I will rephrase my question

Q: "Do we have any standards in softwares which makes
it military grade. For eaxample the military grade
IC(integrated circuits) have to confine to certain
temperature range, MTBF, fault tolerance limit etc.
Do we have such specifications/tests for softwares"

Oracle and Solaris are said to be military grade.
What specs do these softwares meet. Does ne one knows
that. I have written to oracle and solaris but no
reply yet.
Now my second question arises from the first on. If
we have specs for military grade softwares, is Linux
meeting those standards??????/

As for the DRDO using Linux, its still not used
extensible and linux is certainly not used in Indian
Army (contact Ashlin to get a proof for my fact). Its
one thing to have linux being used in DRDO but that
usage is different from its usage in army.

Theres seems to be a missunderstanding that a
military grade software is the software used by
military. A military grade product can be used in
commercial world
