Adi Shamir (of RSA fame) and Eran Tromer have come up with a proof of concept cryptography attack that figures out keys by (wait for this!) listening to the CPU!
I read their paper and heard the GnuPG RSA in progress -- sounded a bit like the beginning of a techno track, but you could interpret it differently. Anyway, the article is at the URL under, interesting reading: http://www.wisdom.weizmann.ac.il/~tromer/acoustic/ Regards, -- Raju -- Raj Mathur [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://kandalaya.org/ GPG: 78D4 FC67 367F 40E2 0DD5 0FEF C968 D0EF CC68 D17F It is the mind that moves _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/
