The company I work for (Solidcore Systems) is looking
to hire some Linux people.
General Criteria: We are looking for hands-on people
who have excellent analytical and problem solving
skills. In addition, people need to be self driven and
motivated.
Linux Kernel Developers:
Qualifications : BE/BTech/MTech/MCA from recongnised
institutes.
Experience: 2-6 years of experience with the Linux
Kernel, Device Driver Programming desired. People
with skills on the *BSD kernel can also apply. People
with previous experience in filesystems etc. will be
preferred. Needless to say, the applicant should be an
expert at C programming, GNU tools, Perl or some other
scripting language.
Linux Userland Developers:
Qualifications : BE/BTech/MTech/MCA from recongnised
institutes.
Experience: 2-6 years of experience with C on Linux,
GNU tools, Socket Programming, IPC etc. The applicant
should have thorough understanding of Unix like
Operating Systems.
Systems Administrator:
We are looking for a systems administrator to look
after the Linux desktops, Mail, Web, News, DNS, IPSec
VPNS etc. Experience in maintaining multi-site
networks would be preferred. Ideally, we also want
this person to double as the Release Engineer, so we
would like to hire a person who has good understanding
of CVS/Subversion , Scripting Languages, Makefiles
etc.
