hi ,
i am using telent service of putty.....................actually
the thing is that the server system got hanged after sm time........the
server stop responding ............so i have to restart the server.....i
am not able to even ping the server.... and i guess it is not a networ
prbolem bcz after restart vry thing works fine. ..could u be in bit
details wht all services shld i check..........................

What service of putty are you using? telnet, rsh or ssh? I was using ssh
earlier and it worked just fine. I do not think Putty has anything to do
with this. Also why re-start the server? Why not just kill the pid of
the process?
Eliminate the problem by first checking your server services one by one.
