Hi,

I was thinking of installing Linux on two machines which already have
WinXP. I have a separate FAT partition which I would like to use for
Linux, delete that and use ext3. I was looking at Fedora as I have some
experience with Red Hat Linux 7 / 8 / 9.

I had certain queries :
1) Can I update Fedora Core 2 directly using the net? Fedora Core 1
seemed to be broken.
2) Is there some way by which I can update Fedora Core 2 with latest
packages, offline? There were these folders on Fedora site :

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/2/i386/

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/testing/
2/i386/

Bandwidth is a problem on one of the machines I will install Fedora on.
I wanted some way by which I can download updates, write them on CD and
install them offline. Should I just copy the files from the above
mentioned folders and install those packages? Any best practise that you
could recommend. I want to update periodically, once a week / month
maybe.
3) Can someone send me your grub.conf file, for a dual boot Win XP / FC2
machine. Need to look at the parameters that are passed for booting
WinXP.

Thanks and Regards,

Venky
