Dear Linux-Enthusiast,
Let�s introduce ourselves; we are a group of students, continuing our Post
Graduation as Master of Computer Application (MCA) at Govt. Engg. College (GEC),
Thrissur, Kerala, India.
MATTER:
We are planning to conduct a National Level 3 day IT Festival in our college
campus, where the concentration of the event will be on Open Source Software (OSS)
especially �Linux�. Like you, who has been loving �TUX� for the past years, we guys
also fell in love with �TUX� and want others to do the same. By knowing its power to
begin a new and essential revolution in the software field all over the world, which
we have seen for the past years, we chose LINUX, a powerful candidate from the Open
Source Software field, as the theme of the fest. And we have decided to conduct the
program by the end of February 2005.
We all together are on the move to make this national level fest an immense
success. In order to accomplish this we are in demand of more ingenious and innovative
ideas. You are requested to share your ideas and fields that can be included, which
reveals the power of Linux in our event. Who else could provide us with more inspiring
and productive ideas? We would appreciate you people to reach us your ideas concerning
the programs to be included.
Secondly, we would like you to help us on the topics for Paper Presentation
available in Linux. We are also interested in giving opportunities for eminent
personnel to participate in Paper Presentation Contest.
We would be indebted to you, if you could help us succeed in having
distinguished and prominent personalities in our event like RMS, who has been very
successful in popularizing the concept of OSS all over the world.
Finally, but worth mentioning can you let us know means, by which we can have
funding assistance, which in turn very importantly mirrors on the overall realization
of the event.
However, your entire support, advice and guidance are expected, which are
important to make our dream a reality. And we are sure that you, the warriors of open
source software field, will never disappoint us.
