I would like to point out that I am a newbie "linuxer" (is that the correct term??). I tried installing and running RH 9 on this machine first, but just couldnât get the sound working. Everything else worked just fine though. Still, I thought I'd give SuSE 9.1 a try as well - to its credit it picked all the devices (including the sound card) right off the bat. They have made it (SuSE 9.1) almost idiot proof! I tried several fixes that I found online - but nothing worked. The surprising thing was that this card was actually listed in the sndconfig utility but it refused to detect or configure it!!
