Amit,
Download the Kernel rpm for your Linux. Assuming
it was Redhat, the command to upgrade would be -
#rpm -ivh kernel-x.x.x.rpm
It is like installing a new kernel, updates grub
as well. If it prompts for any dependencies, you may
need to download those rpms and upgrade them before
you can do kernel. Shouldn't take more than 15 min. if
you have all the required software. You will still
have older version showing up in grub if you have
problems booting up with new kernel.
