Forget banks, even the so called "world class IT services provider" TATA
consultancy services (TCS.com) website is not Free Software friendly. During
the campus placements in our college, we had to fill up an online form to
register. That online form didn't work with ANY browser apart from IE. I
tried Mozilla (On Linux and Windows), Firefox (on Linux), Opera (on Linux and
Windows), Galeon (on Linux), Konqueror (on Linux) with little success, thus
preventing me from filling up the form (I'm 100% windows free :-) ).

I emailed TCS support and they replied with some thing about Lotus Domino
release 5.0 (which they use) supporting only "IE and it's varients" (what are
IE varients BTW?) and how Mozilla support has only been aded only from Domino
release 6.0 which they don't have. Thus they basically held up their hands
and said "we can't help you, deal with it". I don't think I even wanted to
work with a company which lets software version numbers get in the way of
customer satisfaction. Such a scenario is something that a company using Free
software will never face because I think upgrading becomes a simple matter of
doing an apt get :-)

I faced a similar situation with IMS (The CAT coaching institute) website. The
online test scores and evaluation pages are not working with Mozilla or
konqueror while my friends using IE on windows can easily access them. I
didn't e-mail them yet about the problem but I'm gonna.
