Dear Mr. Rajesh Jha, Wowo you think AMS is rude and apologize you. Why not we take a look back at your posting. You paste a piece of C code on general mailing list, whereas this kind of query is more suitable for list called ilugd-dev. Oh!! maybe you are not aware of ilugd-dev list and we should apologize you for this. Then you simply write "program is not working" without saying a word about what errors are generated, or even feel the need to inform readers of your posting that no errors are being generated. You spend no effort on trying to debug the code, reading a How-To and moreover you feel no need to inform the readers about which modem you are using, are you able to dial through your modem using programs such as wvdial.. As for your program, dear a basic rule of programing which was taught to me in school and college is that whenever you open a file, you check whether the file has opened or not, where is the check for sucessful opening of modem device in your code??? We apologize that you have not read this page earlier... http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html Regards VK ===== Hug the REALITY ;-) Disclamer The facts expressed here belong to everybody, the opinions to me. The distinction is yours to draw... __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Take Yahoo! Mail with you!
