I had installed oracle on RH9 2 years ago. The process was very well 
documented.  Hence I know for sure that RH9 and Oracle can work together.

I also remembered that Oracle can be installed on FC 2 (not sure about 
FC1) .  The guy had written an article about this and posted it on 
oreilly's website (which is where I had read it originally).  Hence I 
know that FC2 and Oracle can work together. (i tried to find the link 
for that but could not locate it, hence the other link)

As I can see, I was clearly wrong about FC3 and Oracle.  Thanks for the 
correction
