We would like to recruit a talented individual for the position of 
system administrator in our company. The description of the position is 
as follows.

Position Description
Install, configure and manage core IT infrastructure on an open-source 
platform. The following are the systems that need to be configured and 
managed on a heterogenous network comprising of Linux-based desktops and 
servers.

    * File services
    * Email infrastructure (Postfix)
    * Firewall and proxy services (Squid, etc.)
    * Web servers (Apache)
    * Backup

Additionally, some of the clients (workstations) will be Windows based, 
and they will require to be configured to be able to use the above 
services. An individual in this position will be expected to provide 
support for configuration of these systems.

Skills/Knowledge required

    * Installation and configuration of Linux on servers and desktops
    * Knowledge of installation and configuration of the following 
applications:
          o SAMBA, Postfix/Sendmail, Squid, Apache, MySQL, JBoss
          o Shell scripting
          o Network protocols and architectures
    * Configuration of user accounts on Linux systems

Experience

    * Installing and managing Linux-based systems for 50 or more users
    * Configuring and managing core infrastructure services such as 
network connectivity, firewalls, web servers, file services
    * Performing routine backups of all system and application data
    * Providing regular reports and updates on system performance to 
management

This position will be based out of Delhi/NCR region but will require 
travel within India (about 25%) to company sites and customer locations.
