Dear Sir,

an intranet?

My Webserver is working in devolopment environment for internal network it
is having internal IP and Internal users access this server as a network
machine which is based on WIN2K IIS.
Also external devolopers located in other cities are accesing this Webserver
using Remote Desktop Connection for modifications in source of IIS system
settings or Oracle system.

Last month I had set one extrnal IP address and given to the external
devolopers but that IP address was open for public too.
Currently I am using the external IP address for a different purpose.
The WebServer machine currently just has internal IP address; Now I want it
that all the Traffic should be routed by linux server.

> the Web and mail servers have to go through the global DNS server?

I had made changes in my global DNS server. The URL
"projects.modular-infotech.com" is redirected to my linux routers external
IP address. This Linux system has one External and one Internal IP address.
For eg.
If someone hit "projects.modular-infotech.com" then that request hits my
global DNS first, later my global DNS redirects that request to my external
IP address of Linux Router and the router forwards that request to my
internal WebServer on all proto and all ports.
Now I want that, no other request should enter in my network expect WIN2K
server,

My internal client systems(Windows based) used to access external IP
addresses which I had added in linux router. To achieve this, I used
ipchains in RH 6.2 but currently I am using RH 9.0
ipchains -A forward -s 192.168.1.50 -d host.domain.com -j MASQ

> Which boxes are Linux boxes and which ones aren't?
Except my linux server/router all other systems are Windows or MAC based and
these machines access the internet only by using proxy
