nobody uses unicode to type hindi. You type hindi using some keyboard layout and some font. But what is stored is a unicode string which is what is needed. so your hindi typewriter keymap and ttf font are fine for the purpose as long as you use something like babel to convert the strings -- regards kg http://www.livejournal.com/users/lawgon tally ho! http://avsap.org.in ಇಂಡ್ಲಿನಕ್ಸ வாழ்க! _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- [email protected] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/
