Then you are lucky. You must be using the weaker WEP or no encryption for your 
wireless connection.

For my home WPA connection, I had to install wpa_supplicant. Unfortunately, it 
doesnt come on the Kubuntu CD. So 
* I had to configure the ethernet connection first, 
* then setup the repositories, 
* then install wpa_supplicant, 
* reread the wpa_supplicant documentation, 
* generate a wpa_password from my alphanumeric key, 
* and configure wpa_supplicant to work with networking

For onething I am glad - the hibernate function on Kubuntu 5.10 works out of 
the box. In 5.04, software suspend crashed the laptop, and I have never used 
it since. Anybody else who uses it successfully?
