I'm planning on trying out Linux and was just wondering as to what is the best 
linux distro around... Now i know its like asking whats your favourite 
ice-cream flavour, but i primarily need a linux distro which has more of a 
graphical interface...

If you want to use mutt (a MUA) but find it difficult to configure (which it is 
:) OR you want to use both mutt and evolution as and when you feel like then 
this pack of scripts will let you do that in a jiffy. Integration of:
procmail + vim + mutt + archivemail + evolution + xmutt
