Well, Mithun, all I can say is I can't wait to see Telscum (Telkom)
having their butts kicked. To give you guys and idea how expensive
telecommunications is over here, a study was recently done in Cape Town
proving that you will save ZAR 2000.00, give or take, to fly to Hong
Kong, go to an Internet cafe and download 100GB of data, compared to
doing it locally.

The main rub is, Telkom owns the largest percentage of the SAT3 cable
running to Europe from here. That was put in with taxpayers' money.
Surely we are entitled to some benefits from it as well. That is why
South Africa, despite being the most prosperous country in Africa, has
been overtaken Internetwise by Ethiopia and Somalia, where they don't
know where their next meal is coming from.

Oh, sorry about this. I just needed to get this off my chest.
