Wouldnt it be possible using the method he described ? Changing 
 the fstab mount points etc ?
 Maybe I misunderstood, but I thought that he wanted the new /home
 to span the old disk, and part of the new one. The only way that I
 think this might be possible is with LVM. Maybe someone has a
 better idea.
