Hi Ashish, You can install Remington Hindi layout using... 1) You can extract the latest hi-remington.mim from the devel rpm of Fedora - download m17n-db-hindi-version-rpm from http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/development/i386/os/Fedora/RPMS/ 2) Copy the keymap to /usr/share/m17n and restart your scim with "scim-restart" or do a gdm-restart. For more information on how to enable language support for input methods, please have a look at http://www.makuchaku.info/blog/enabling-support-for-your-indic-language-in-fc-5-and-beyond Current implementation of hi-remington has a problem that it yet does not exactly types like a typewriter - to type चि you need to type च first and then ि (as per current keymap). But as per the typewriter, this input order should be reversed. Upstream developer Takahashi-san has already worked upon a solution for this & we will be including the correct keymaps very soon. Let me know if you have any further concerns :) Regards, Makuchaku _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- [email protected] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/
