location: new delhi*

we are in rebuild/revamp mode. hence, i need people who can multi-task. even
more so because the team will be very small. and this is how i see the tech
team structure:

tech lead → senior programmer/developer → junior/fresh
programmers/developers.

*tech lead [ 1 opening ]*

at least 3 years' experience.

i am looking for people for whom the next logical jump from their current
position is to that of a tech lead. people who are confident that from now
on they will be able to do what their current boss does. which is basically
run a team, motivate them, teach them, guide them, innovate, experiment and
so on.

here, in the tehelka <http://www.tehelka.com/> environment, the tech lead
will be the sys admin/webmaster/master coder or whatever you'd like to term
it. you could even call it the cto, but i won't give you that designation.
;)

should know how to manage/maintain/monitor servers remotely.

should know what a lamp <http://www.onlamp.com/> stack is. that is what
you'll be working on.

should be very comfortable with open
source<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source_software#Projects_and_organizations>technologies.
everything is on open source here.

should be aware of what the so-called web
2.0<http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/oreilly/tim/news/2005/09/30/what-is-web-20.html>technologies
are.

should know how to create a site
architecture<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Website_architecture>
.

should be able to stick to deadlines, work under
pressure<http://www.cartoonstock.com/directory/u/under_pressure.asp>
.

should have strong organisational skills.

should have a willingness to learn.

should be a total team player.

should be able to take a project from just an idea/concept to a logical
conclusion.

should be innovative/bright/energetic/aggressive and with loads of attitude.

remuneration for this position will be at par with industry
standards/experience/ability.

*senior programmer/developer [ 1 opening ]*

at least 1-2 years' experience

you should be the person i can depend on when, say, the tech lead goes on
leave or gets sick or just quits one fine day. you will be the
second-in-command <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second-in-command>. all the
requirements mentioned earlier also apply to you. however, not to the same
degree as the tech head.

you should definitely have a willingness to learn.

you should be the type who wants your boss' job.

should be innovative/bright/energetic/aggressive and with loads of attitude.

remuneration for this position will be at par with industry
standards/experience/ability.

*junior/fresh programmers/developers [ 2 openings ]*

fresh or at least a years' experience.

bright young freshers feel free to apply.

again, a willingness to learn.

if you are fresh, then you'll be paid a fixed stipend during your training
period. for those with a bit of experience, the remuneration will be at par
with industry standards.

please direct all applications here <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, with a clearly
defined subject line. you could either mail a text resume or send me links
to your profile which might be online, like maybe at
linkedin<http://www.linkedin.com/>or elsewhere.

if you wish to see who you'll be reporting to, then my profile is
here<http://www.linkedin.com/in/warier>
.
best.
