Hello Guys,
I have distro of Mandrake 10.1 supplied with my system. Earlier I had installed
it with Windows XP. Due to some problem with the hard disk, I replaced it with
new one. Now after partitioning my HDD as C,D & E and installing Win XP on C,
when I am trying to install the said Linux, I am getting the following error
message generated by Kernel upon pressing ALT+F4 key while installing this OS :
end_error : System I/O error ............{ DriveRead SeekComplete Error}
Buffer Read : I/O error ......................
After this, while the installation bar line is in progress (after 3 or 4
minuts) of starting the installation process, I get the message something like
"Setup failed to Initialise" and upon pressing the <Enter> key the system
starts rebooting.
I tried to install the same on my office PC but the same error is generated
here. CDs are Intact and clean and there are no scratches on it.
Kindly guide to solve this problem. I shall be obliged to you all.
