Hi, | I have a running Samba Server on OpenSuse 10.3. On the client side i | am accessing these samba share by using: nautilus --> File --> | Connect to server. After filling the information in the dialog boxes | i am able to access the shared files and folder. The share name is | visible in the one side of the pane. I'm not sure, if Nautilus mounted it in filesystem somewhere. It can probably only be accessed by a GNOME-VFS compliant client. How about mounting it using 'mount'. Use 'cifs' as filesystem type. For more information, check out mount.cifs(8), which ships as part of samba. | Vijay Thakur | Chandigarh HTH - -- Ashish Shukla आशीष शुक्ल http://wahjava.wordpress.com/ ·-- ·- ···· ·--- ·- ···- ·- ·--·-· --· -- ·- ·· ·-·· ·-·-·- -·-· --- -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFHTlQnHy+EEHYuXnQRAjWhAJwLwlGbboXwPckuDFe0FYiBDBsoHwCeJCu4 gtUR15DVBcEgN8PWbnl/ay0= =I/CD -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- [email protected] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Next Event: http://freed.in - February 22/23, 2008 Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/
