That's how it always goes. Whenever you find a bug, disable extensions one by one until the bug is no more. Firebug has recently caused me a lot of problem. It made my web developer toolbar, stumbleupon toolbar, del.icio.us buttons irresponsive. Firebug didn't cause problems ever before. I think its because of a recent update. The problem is still not fixed.
