hi, i recently bought a movie cd, that refuses to play on my fedora box. mplayer gives an eof error and exits. However i do know that if i copy the dat file to my system, then if works. Herein lies the issue, 1) is this copying the vcd/.dat file to my system legal? (movie, though old is of recvent issue, john carpenters they live)
and 2) If it is, could you please let me know of and way i can, since the normal cp gives an i/o error, and i have no clue how to work dd.
