Hi to all,
[EMAIL PROTECTED] is a new member of LUG communities. It was created on
12
Jan 2008.

very recently we had our Linux workshop on "Basics of Linux"
<http://groups.google.com/group/iitdlug/web/1st-linux-user-group-workshop--basics-of-linux>
. we were expecting around 40 - 50 for this workshop. But around 130-150
came for workshop. We changed our venue during the course of the workshop.
It was totally un-sponsored activity (total money applied is 50 Rs for
posters) and done by students effort. Now we are going for our second
workshop on programming
skills<http://groups.google.com/group/iitdlug/web/code-voda---a-workshop-on-programming>
.

Most probably we will record next events . and try to post to educational
channels. I am still struggling with management to setup a regular mechanism
to have such workshop.

I want to know that,
1) is there any educational channel present which is dedicated to open
source activities?
I have a idea to setup a *open source dedicated channel, (total a dream, so
do not laugh)*
The mechanism will be very simple. we have so many LUGs all over the India,
If any LUG is having the workshop or some activity then they just call us
then we will not only sponsore the event but record (Live) the whole
workshop. I think by this way we can reach upto a village and produce some
hackers at village also. This will be helpful in making a "student to
student learning centered" education system then to "book/tutor to student
based". This can be helpful to give lot of resource to Indian Education
System. I see a lot of possibilities to have such educational channel.

2) I want to set-up a not-for profit organization, I want guidance from
somebody who have already some so. I do not know many laws. will anybody
suggest some things helpful to speed-up my social activities. I want to
sever Indian education system

Need your suggestions
Please reply at the end of message (called down posting ) as it will
maintain proper context of discussion.
