Write a rc.d or init.d script for the daemon OR start the daemon in
/etc/rc.local or some equivalent script file depending on the distro
you're running in.

What do you get ? Does it ask for password, and you want to prevent
asking for password in sudo, hmm...? If that is the case, check out
sudoers(5) and look for NOPASSWD tag.
