Write a rc.d or init.d script for the daemon OR start the daemon in /etc/rc.local or some equivalent script file depending on the distro you're running in. | Lets say I want a daemon to run the time I login, but it needs | superuser privileges to work properly. If i just add "sudo daemonname" | in gnome-sessions, it doesn't work. What do you get ? Does it ask for password, and you want to prevent asking for password in sudo, hmm...? If that is the case, check out sudoers(5) and look for NOPASSWD tag.
