Hmm, why did you classify RPC/SOAP as a separate category for this discussion?
I'd have assumed it falls in with web services and the like?
Also, I like the idea about discussing GoI/FOSS standards. Does anyone know if
there is a central body which can lay down such laws? (NIC perhaps? or is it
the Ministry of IT in conjunction with a bunch of other orgs?)
