Whenever possible or makes sense, I initial the parts and ask for them
if they are replaced. On one occassion, I had given a lappy for
repairs with 2 SO DIMMS. I opened the system and made them record the
2 DIMMS on the receipt. Inspite of this, when I picked up the unit,
one DIMM was missing! I pointed it out and the guy made some lame
excuse and quickly found the 2nd DIMM. Before packing it up, I checked
for my initials on the DIMMS.
