Yes, there is plenty of scope - not only that, there is now more scope for more people to share the pot, while he 'big guys' keep the momentum going. Look at it this way, CentOS is - by far - the stock distro of choice for independant and small linux vendors doing OS level work. That brings in two angles, firstly - the user is confident he gets a certifyable base to put his app onto - and the vendor knows he has a community of fairly-clued up people to back him up. And if things were to go bottoms up, there is someone to fall back to as well. So what this does is - it creates a completely new and viable ecosystem for the independant vendors to compete in an open market, with a product, support and awareness that he does not need to crete all by himself. And, as Sankarshan already pointed out, that inhouse expertise that is getting more and more popular must still need to come from somewhere! -- Karanbir Singh : http://www.karan.org/ : [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- [email protected] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/
