"A new user account [EMAIL PROTECTED] has been created successfully. You can now go to the Log In page to enter this Red Hat Bugzilla installation." Thanks for the direct link. Just registered! :-) Does this HowTo, still work there? http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugsAndFeatureRequests > > Like Amarok has a nice system, and maybe other projects can try to > > replicate the model. I understand! I mean at the end of the day if bugs get squashed in Fedora, it somehow also helps me as it most of the times goes back to whatever distro I use. > > Who knows? That's a good thing! I use IRC. Many other folks use Blogs or mailing lists. The thing is the message should go to Fedora (or whatever other projects) most of the times; and I as the user must ensure that. My point was simply reviewers/users do get the flack a lot of times for criticizing or simply pointing out issues with a software -- something as odd as "Why didn't you file a bug report?" My answer to the person is: "Well, you know about the issues. Can you walk me through the steps in pin-pointing the bug? I will give you all the details you want. Then can you file a bug report on my behalf? I just suck at filling up forms." BTW, the registration process at RH bugzilla was easy, thanks! Anyway, here's an example of how bugs can also be reported and then get noticed by the _friendly_ developers. :-) http://www.last.fm/user/madcap_loon/journal/2006/06/16/2t4e_amarok_and_last.fm It's all about being a bit flexible. :-) Best, Atanu P.S. --> Will try to replicate the issue Swap faced and submit a bug report over the weekend. Am I allowed to bug you a bit if I get stuck while filing it? _______________________________________________ ilugd mailinglist -- [email protected] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/
