hello ,
       sorry for those jargon words. 
push means the server will send message to the subscriber.

  pull means the subscriber will send the message through his mobile to the 
server. the message will be a single word. on receipt of this keyword the 
server will send message accordingly.

  e.g. in a production system. if i send a message 'status' to the server
the server will send me a status of a partcular machine, if i send 'data' the 
server will be send be shift production data and so on.
