But PDF is a widely used format for document publishing. If we bring another format into the public domain we will also be requiring a huge awareness campaign for this. I understand playing catch up might be hard..but at the same time giving too many options to the end-user and finally ending up with a dozzen of different formats won't also do any good. Let's not forget, all that an end-user wants is her/his document to be published in a readable format. So, let's not confuse them any further then they already are...
