Simpler solution: before buying a product, check if it interoperates 
with Linux or not.  If it doesn't, don't buy it.

Even simpler solution for the G**gle-challenged: if it's from A****le, 
don't buy it because they go out of their way to prevent FOSS from 
interoperating with their products.
