Hi, I am trying to configure wireless on my Dell inspiron 15 notebook using centOS. This may seem like a repost. I had asked this question about a month back but then i went home and had no wireless available so wasn't able to try any of the suggestions. As suggested by Raj and Karanbir I downloaded the driver for xp from the dell website and tried to install it using ndiswrapper.
I unzipped the .exe and installed netathw.inf. ndiswrapper -l tells me invalid driver! I expected this since the dell website states that the xp driver applies to only the Wireless 1515 (11agn) WLAN half mini-card (Atheros). I have a Dell Wireless 1397 802.11b/g Half Mini Card. The driver for Vista seems to support this card. The problem now is that I am unable to extract the .inf (or anything else) from .exe provided for vista. I tried unzip, cabextract and even wine, but all failed. Any help would be appreciated.
