I am looking for a Project Manager with at least 8 + yrs of experience with the
following skill set
Performs complex tasks of migrating applications on Linux platform
without supervision
Architect Linux environment
Performance tuning
Interact in critical talks with product owners and understand the runtime
environment in detail
Linux internals
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of writing purchase
justifications, training users in complex topics, making presentations to an
internal audience, and interacting positively with upper management.
Project and resource management
Independent problem-solving, self-direction.
Good work-related documentation skills.
Strong problem solving skills and ability to grasp technical concepts quickly
Ability to plan and forecast work activities, multi-task effectively, and
adhere to deadlines
Comfortable with all aspects of Linux operating system administration; for
example, configuration of mail systems, system installation and configuration,
printer systems, fundamentals of security, installing third-party software.
Has mastery of a UNIX-based operating system
Mastery of Linux internals - building of customized kernel modules
Good understanding of Linux runtime environment
Good knowledge and concepts of SAN/NAS.
Mastery of complex networking/distributed computing environment concepts
Ability to write complex scripts in some administrative language (Tk, Perl,
VBScript, a shell).
Apache Web server expertise
Makes preliminary assessments and recommends solutions in line with customers
needs.
Communicates with Business Unit staff and participates in customer meetings to
identify and understand customers business needs and requirements
Liaises with vendors and customers in a support capacity for problem resolution
in relation to the introduction, development and maintenance of new products.
Provides technical assistance, advice and training in the area of expertise.
Undertakes technical analysis and develops detailed specifications from broad
business requirements.
Resolves more complex system problems.
Prepares documentation containing sufficient information and in accordance with
required standards
Hardware knowledge of SunFire / Fujitsu Primepower/Sun 3510 & 3310 storage
arrays
Rotation on-call covers to provide 24x7
Able to work in shifts
ITIL Knowledge is a plus
