Principle of Least Surprise

I was actually surprised to know the message I sent was not delivered to the
list but to the author only. But that's only because I was used to other
lists which have the reply-to header set to the list (I guess most of them
are google groups)

I mostly use gmail's web interface and it doesn't have that. Besides I
always thought what's the use of sending two mails to author - one in the
list and one privately - if I used "reply-to-all" option.
