Hello Fellow LUGers, I am (partly) sysadmin'ing at a startup. We've got our IT infrastructure completely built on CentOS. We just love it. The only thing linux doesn't seem to have right now is a replacement for Microsoft's Active Directory, which according to my research is going to come in Samba 4. We really don't want to get into Windows Server right now. Would any of you be knowing how to setup a full-fledged AD, with kerberos, LDAP, samba. Let me list out our goals here:
- To make the server a Primary Domain Controller for the Windows network - so that windows boxes can login to the active directory domain. - Provide Samba shares - Using OpenLDAP for storing credentials and employee info - Kerberos for tranparent authentication of apps, once logged in to the AD We've got some linux PC's too (about 10%), but they can easily be setup. The problem is with the majority of Windows machines. _______________________________________________ Ilugd mailing list [email protected] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd
