Even though you requested a no debate, I will still say this. I digress. Some of my favorite open source projects are on OS X. IMHO there should be no restriction on the platform being used. Open source has nothing to do with choice of platform or programming language. If that's the case, let's disallow all FOSS contributions coming in from people using a closed system. Makes no sense, right?
