Narendra pretty much has it right. I consult, not exactly for FOSS, but for the non profit market (e.g. http://cgnetswara.org), who use a lot of FOSS. I can tell you that I see some big funding happening, but the competition is pretty tough. Speaking of which, what kind of work do you do? I am always looking for collaborators to get projects.
